What is Paddle Point Leagues?

Organized team pickleball between residential communities in Naples. You and your neighbors form a team, you are placed in a division with teams at your level, and you play a weekly match — half at home, half at the other team's courts — ending in playoffs and a championship.

What does it cost?

Season 1 (Winter 2027) is free. We expect to charge a league fee in future seasons, and we will publish pricing before anyone signs up for a paid season.

Do I need a team to sign up?

No. You can create an account on your own, then start a team as captain and invite neighbors, or accept an invitation from someone who already has a team.

What if my community is not listed?

You can add it. There is an option during signup to submit your community — we review it, set it up, and get you ready to run leagues there.

What skill level should I pick?

The one that honestly describes your play. You can only join leagues at your level or above — a 3.0 can play in a 3.0 or 3.5 league, but not a 2.5. If you are unsure, pick the higher level.

Ratings are self-reported for now. Later we will introduce the Paddle Point rating system, calculated from your match results, which will set the leagues you are eligible for.

How much of a time commitment is this?

One match a week during the regular season, plus playoffs. Every league plays on one fixed day of the week for the whole season, so you know the commitment before you sign up — the day is shown on each league when you register. Start times are set by the hosting community, so an away match may start earlier or later than your home ones.

What if I cannot make a match one week?

Tell your captain — they field the lineup from whoever is available. There is no penalty for missing a week. If the whole team cannot make the scheduled day, the two captains can agree to move that match to another day in the same week.

What if someone gets injured or moves away?

Add a replacement. Rosters can grow at any point in the season, with no size limit. Players cannot be removed after registration closes, so the roster only grows once the season is underway.

Where do we play?

On courts at the participating communities, roughly half at home and half at your opponents'. Ask your captain about getting in and where to park when you are visiting.

How do scores and standings work?

Within 48 hours of a match, either captain enters the result in the app and the other confirms it — getting it entered is the home captain's responsibility. Standings update as results are confirmed, and the top four teams in each division make the playoffs. Match format, scoring, tie-breakers, and playoff seeding are in the League Rules.

What if my league does not get enough teams?

Divisions need six to eight teams to run a full schedule. If a league does not attract enough, it will not run that season, and we will tell you before play starts.

Can younger players join?

Yes. A parent or guardian sets up and oversees the account and is responsible for the player's conduct.

Is there somewhere to keep up with news?

We run a private Facebook group for players — league news, questions, and a direct line to us. Ask to join the group.
